OverviewLynas Rare Earths has an opportunity for Process Operators to join our team at the Kalgoorlie Rare Earth Processing Facility (REPF).The Kalgoorlie REPF is now a key strategic platform for critical mineral production, blending pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical process in an Australian first, mineral processing plant.The Opportunity:This day-services role reports to the Production Coordinator and will be responsible for assisting the processing team with routine standard operational tasks, focusing predominantly on the handling and movement of bulk materials in the processing plant, hosing and cleaning of equipment, housekeeping, reagents handling, water treatment, and product filtration across the site.This role is offered on a Kalgoorlie-Goldfields residential basis-only, working a 5 on / 2 off, 4 on / 3 off, 10 hour day shift with the potential to adjust, depending on business requirements.ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include:The safe day-to-day operation of the processing plant including:Filter cloth assembly and change-outs, managing filter cloth consumables and restocking of equipment.Assist with the preparation of MREC containers for loading, dispatch including paperwork and data entry.Handling and movement of bulk materials concentrate and general deliveries.Pre-starts on equipment, routine refueling and inspections.Undertaking hosing and other general housekeeping activities.PM and Operational cleaning.Provide support to the Production Coordinator with shutdown activities including the sourcing of equipment and other resources.Contributing to the development of safe working procedures.Ensure a safe working environment is maintained with the identification, reporting of, and control of hazards.Required skills and experienceRelevant experience in a processing plant environment experience in lithium or base metals mineral processing, cracking and leaching, filter press technology is highly desirable.Nationally accredited competency of fork lift, skid steer, crane, loader and telehandler.Unwavering approach to safetyWA unencumbered C class drivers license or aboveMust reside within the Goldfields region for our residential operationAvailable for an immediate commencement (pending pre-employment vetting and approvals).About LynasLynas Rare Earths was established as an ethical and environmentally responsible producer of rare earth materials and is the worlds only significant producer of separated rare earth materials outside of China.The Lynas values of care, achievement, expertise, diversity and sustainability guide our decision making.
