We also deploy medical professionals and aircraft in support of defence, government and commercial contracts, and energy and resource sector sites.The roleWe currently have an excellent opportunity for a High Acuity Flight Nurses to join our Northern Operations. The position is a maximum term assignment.delivering individualised high quality clinical care;delivering in-patient assessment, clinical management and emergency procedures;maintaining CareFlights Standard Operating Procedures and clinical treatment protocols;coordinating the transition of patients from one mode of transport to the next;assisting the medical officer with medical management as appropriate;managing physiological issues related to aeromedical transport; andmaintaining situational awareness throughout the retrieval process to identify safety hazards for the patient and aeromedical crew.About youTo be successful in this role you will:be a registered nurse, currently registered with AHPRA;have evidence of 5 years full time emergency/critical care experience;possess relevant post graduate qualifications in critical care or emergency nursing;have current certification in ALS 2 and TNCC, or trauma course equivalent;demonstrate the ability to function effectively as a team member in a critical care environment;be physically capable of meeting the challenges of aeromedical practice, including helicopter rescue and retrieval work;possess highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;demonstrate effective consultation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills;have the ability to demonstrate ability/skills to operate in out of hospital environments; andpossess a current drivers licence; andpossess a current NT Working With Children Clearance or ability to obtain.The following will be highly regarded:Registered Midwife currently registered with AHPRA.Clinical experience working in paediatrics.Previous experience working in the area of Indigenous health.How to applyIf you would like to be part of our team, you can apply using the link below.
