This includes actively contributing to the coordination and delivery of workforce planning initiatives and events, leveraging strong interpersonal skills to engage staff, foster a positive workplace culture, and ensure alignment with the agencys strategic goals.Context statementThe Department of Treasury and Finances (DTF) Executive Services unit provides central coordination and liaison services between the department, ministerial offices and other agencies on issues relating to DTFs responsibilities. This includes liaison with agencies that provide corporate services to DTF on a shared services basis.Key duties and responsibilitiesProvide high quality organisational support services, including identifying, developing and delivering organisational improvement, business and governance initiatives and practices across the agency to ensure the achievement of strategic goals and improve integrity processes and procedures to achieve better outcomes.Co-ordinate audit activity and related reporting in the agency, including developing and managing a risk-based program of internal audits, and coordinating external audits with business areas, as required.Support the WHS Committee by arranging meetings, regular training and inspections, maintaining registers, policies, procedures and supplies, and developing and disseminating internal communications.Assist in managing the agencys corporate and HR projects, including tracking and coordinating induction, performance management, graduate programs, staff training, wellbeing initiatives, and participation in workforce and cultural development activities aligned to the agencys strategic goals.Contribute to the design and delivery of workforce planning initiatives and staff engagement events, managing the agencys calendar of workforce-related activities, policy updates and other organisational requirements.Leverage strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster cross-team collaboration, support a people-focused workplace culture, and help ensure staff feel informed, connected and supported across workforce development programs.Liaise with shared service providers to coordinate delivery of services including procurement and contract management, provision of supplies and services, and maintenance of registers.Foster a positive workplace culture with specific attention to ethics and integrity, through exemplary governance-focused practices and role modelling behaviour.Selection criteriaEssentialKnowledge of strategic and business planning in relation to the delivery of successful outcomes within a complex service environment.Demonstrated experience in reviewing and developing policy to support business processes and systems, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, with strong conceptual and analytical skills.Demonstrated knowledge of audit and risk management, understanding of governance structures and processes in a public sector environment.High level interpersonal and professional written and oral communication skills and attention to detail, and well-developed engagement and influencing skills to collaborate effectively across diverse cultures with demonstrated ability to adapt communication style and build strong working relationships.Proven work ethic with demonstrated ability to operate autonomously to manage workloads and competing priorities, exercise sound judgement, deal with sensitive issues, maintain confidentiality and deliver quality outcomes.Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheets, and report writing.DesirableTertiary qualification in Business, Public Administration or related discipline.Further informationAdditional inclusions may include further information that is relevant to the vacancy; for example, criminal history checks, flexibility in starting dates, requirements for travel, etc.Be careful - Dont provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
