OverviewExperienced horticultural supervisor required. Muchea Tree Farm is looking for a full-time horticultural supervisor to join our group to support our further business development.ResponsibilitiesOverseeing day-to-day farming routines, including planting, pruning, thinning, and harvesting to meet production targets;Is passionate about horticulture and has an eagerness to learn and develop their skills as well as lead and impart knowledge to other employees, especially apprentices;Is a supportive team player who helps to foster a culture of collaboration to achieve the best outcomes for our farm;Monitoring and maintaining optimal growing conditions, including irrigation, climate control, pest & weed control and the hydroponics systemMaintains a high professional standard by taking an organized and efficient approach to tasks and responsibilities, and can problem-solve when required;Complete general farm maintenance tasks such as mowing, weeding, mulching, hedging, irrigation repairs, pest and disease identification and control;Ensure a clean, safe and organized farm environment;Assistance with building projects and general farm duties as required.Salary and BenefitsSalary: $78,000.00 to $90,000.00 /year + superannuationSkills and ExperiencePrevious experience in a supervisory role within the horticultural industrySupervisory experience must be specifically in nursery operations or greenhouse productionMinimum 1-2 years of supervisory experience in horticulture is requiredStrong leadership, communication, and technical knowledge of plant health and machineryHas a Certificate III in HorticultureCertificate III in Horticulture or higher qualification is requiredHas sound pest, disease and irrigation knowledgeApplicants must hold valid Australian work rights including work visa #J-18808-Ljbffr
