Whether it''s preventive care, education, or tailored wellbeing services, we are here to make a lasting impact on the communities we serve.About the RoleWe are currently seeking a motivated and culturally grounded Aboriginal professional to join Oseca as an Aboriginal Youth Worker, supporting young people and strengthening community connections across the Peel Region.Our new team member will add value to our team whilst completing the tasks listed below:Providing culturally safe support and mentoring to Aboriginal young peopleDelivering outreach across schools and community settings in the Peel RegionSupporting young people to access mental health, AOD and community servicesBuilding strong relationships with families, schools and local partnersContributing to program reporting and continuous improvementAbout YouYou will be able to work effectively as a member of a teamYou will be able to demonstrate knowledge of cultural issuesYou will be willing to communicate to a variety of peopleHigh level computer skills including database managementGood interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated knowledge of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (desirable)Qualifications and RequirementsIdentification as a person of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent under 50(d) legislationRelevant qualification in Community Services, Youth Work (or demonstrated equivalent experience)Have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Youth Worker with a mental health backgroundPre-Employment Health AssessmentA valid WA drivers licenceA valid and clear police checkA Working with Children Check (WWC)Why Work with Us?This role lets you make a real impact in the Peel region while contributing to a purpose-driven organisation.
