The Customer Service Officer is primarily responsible for assisting with keying orders, answering client phone calls & researching customer queries in a timely manner.ResponsibilitiesAnswers telephone calls promptlyChecks web orders, emails, and fax on a regular basis throughout the dayAssigns orders to appropriate priority for picking and despatchCalls customers to advise of backorders, ETAs and alternativesLiaises with purchasing officer regarding stock availabilityLiaises with store staff regarding any special needs for ordersNotifies Branch Manager/Operations Manager of complaints or issues regarding incorrect or damaged stock received by clientsLiaises with freight companies regarding delivery issuesResearch products and availability of non-stock lines for clientsDaily photocopier and fax machine maintenanceLiaises with suppliers regarding stock availability and purchase order ETAProcesses customer creditsPrepares and manages damaged stock and short expiry stock listsOrder picking and packing as requiredProduct coding for veterinary clinic software integrationCheck Stock expiry dates for customersAdvises customers of current promotionsFiling of paperwork dailyArchiving completed orders and creditsAssisting territory Managers with Customer quotationsProcesses credit card payments with Accounts DepartmentQualificationsMinimum of 1 2 years relevant work experience in veterinary industry or similar environmentSome skill and knowledge in inventory, data entry and computer skillsGood communication, organisational, time management mathematical skillsHigh attention to detailAbility to display initiative and take responsibility for solving problemsAbility to identify improvements and have high personal standardsShows interest and willingness to expand product knowledgeStrong sense of team and work ethicBenefitsThis is a unique opportunity to work in a company where you are valued, given the recognition you deserve and suitably rewarded for your hard work.Other benefits include:We are committed to fostering a workplace that values diversity and inclusion.
