OverviewFor more than 120 years, Hope Community Services has walked alongside West Australians, providing compassionate, practical support for people experiencing alcohol and other drug (AOD) challenges, mental health concerns, and social disadvantage. Our Pilbara Community Alcohol and Drug Service (PCADS) delivers evidence-based, culturally secure AOD support to individuals, families, and communities across the region. We work in partnership with local stakeholders to reduce harm, build capability, and strengthen community wellbeing.About Us: Hope Community Services has a long history of supporting people facing AOD issues, mental health concerns, and social disadvantage. Our PCADS delivers evidence-based, culturally secure AOD support and collaborates with local stakeholders to improve wellbeing across the Pilbara region.About the RoleWe are seeking a Counsellor Educator to join our PCADS team in South Hedland on a fixed-term contract. In this role, you will deliver therapeutic interventions, education, and support to people experiencing AOD use and related harms. Youll conduct assessments, develop personalised recovery or treatment plans, and facilitate both individual and group sessions. Working within a trauma-informed and culturally secure framework, you will empower clients to build insight, strengthen coping skills, and make positive, sustainable changes.
