This position plays a key role in supporting the effective management of Launcestons transport network and contributing to a liveable, connected and futurefocused city.This role delivers traffic engineering services, including modelling, technical advice, road safety assessments, and the development of contemporary transport and network solutions. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, community members and external partners to support safe and efficient transport outcomes for the region.ResponsibilitiesPlanning and modelling transport network performance and future transport needsConducting traffic modelling, interpreting data and preparing technical reportsProviding engineering advice on traffic design standards, codes and actsInvestigating road safety, parking and traffic issues and recommending solutionsLeading linemarking and other trafficrelated maintenance programsSupporting the development of forward works programsResponding to customer enquiries and preparing technical assessmentsAbout YouYou are an experienced engineering professional who demonstrates our organisational values through your behaviour and who is committed to improving transport safety and efficiency for our community.
