Job DescriptionProvide both group and individual support to people living with mental illness 24/7 facilityLocated Warrnambool. Promote independence, development and best outcomesSCHADS Level 3:$38.65 - $41.45 base rate + 25% casual loadingAbout YouHighly skilled and motivated to improve the lives of the people you support through the provision of outstanding mental health care to visitors with complex mental health care needs.Additional attributes we are looking for include:Ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary teamDemonstrated flexibility, patience, initiative and emotional resilience.Strong communication and rapport building skillsPrior experience in mental health, supporting or working with those who are disadvantaged in the communityConfident to facilitate group work and also work 1:1 with visitors promoting a strength-based model.We take appropriate actions to ensure that our staff and the people we support are as safe as possible. You will be expected to adhere to all OHS standards, requirements and processes, including (but not limited to) wearing appropriate PPE and regular hygiene and cleanliness practices.About the RoleThis role works as part of our team of highly skilled Mental Health Workers and in collaboration with the Clinical Multidisciplinary Team, including Psychiatrists, a Psychologist and Nurses. Ngootyoong PARC consists of an 8 bed short term, 5 bed extended stay option and a day program. This role will deliver individualised recovery orientated care. As a Mental Health Worker you will enable rather than do, to promote independence, development and confidence of individuals. Our success will enable them to have the voice and choice to thrive in their local communities.In addition this role entails:Assessment of individuals with a mental health nurse to determine suitability for PARCDelivering strength based group content that is curated to the cohort of an ever-changing visitor groupDeveloping collaborative risk management and mitigation plansEnhancing and promoting links with supports in the community, empowering connectionDeveloping recovery goals and implementation steps to achieve set goalsSupporting planning and review, directing support and exit planningIt is a requirement of this position to meet all compliance requirements concerning NDIS Work Screening, Working With Children''s Check, work rights, possess a current & valid drivers licence, have received a minimum of 3 COVID-19 vaccinations and a flu vaccination in the last 12 months with a willingness to obtain a flu vaccination annually.What we can offer youErmha365 is an agile and innovative non-profit with a growth agenda across Australia.
