A rare opportunity to drive the project through feasibility studies while exploring and take the 407koz gold project into production Location: Perth (with frequent site travel to Tuckanarra) Project Phase: Scoping / PFS transitioning to Open Pit Production Reporting to: Executive Director Odyssey Gold (ASX:ODY) is an established gold exploration company with a successful track record of discovery in one of Australias premier gold mining districts. The Company owns gold resources and extensive prospective land holdings in Murchison region of Western Australia. The Company is completing study work and progressing towards bringing the resources into production. The resources are mostly on a granted mining leases with an accepted mining proposal. As the Chief Geologist, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between exploration and extraction as well as ongoing exploration. You will take ownership of the geological modelling during the final study phases and design the operational geology systems or supervise the contract mining company. Key Responsibilities Study Phase & Technical Lead: Provide authoritative sign-off on Mineral Resource Estimates and lead the geological input for Feasibility Studies Team Leadership: Build and mentor a multidisciplinary team. Transition the mindset from "discovery-focused" exploration to "margin-focused" production geology. Integrate, review and interpret geological, geochemical and geophysical datasets to generate targets and plan exploration programs Database & QA/QC: Maintain data management systems and QA/QC protocols that efficiently deliver the best value outcome for the company. Operational Readiness: Design and implement "Mine-Ready" systems, including grade control protocols, ore tracking, and reconciliation frameworks (Mine-to-Mill). Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with consultants and project stakeholders Champion a zero-harm workplace Candidate Profile Education: B.Sc. in Geology Eligibility: Must be a current resident of Australia and have a working visa Experience: 1215+ years in the mining industry, ideally having taken a project through a Feasibility Study into Production. Technical: Deep understanding of geostatistics and experience in modelling of high nugget structurally controlled gold deposits. Other Skills: A "builder" mentality. You enjoy the challenge of a start-up environment and producing mine.
