Responsibilities What You''ll Be Doing Our established WA Environmental Approvals Team is based in Perths CBD (St Georges Terrace) and consists of a team of talented experts. We are seeking a motivated Senior Environmental Approvals Consultant to work with this excellent group. We have a pipeline of work with a steady flow of existing and new clients that can continue to be built upon, as well as the opportunity to bring in and shape future work. You will be supported by a friendly, experienced team within a wider office of ecologists, spatial analysts, and bushfire scientists. Youll work with a range of established clients across our central business areas of resources, renewables, energy, land development, and infrastructure. We work with great clients who value our expertise and work with us to progress complex and interesting projects throughout WA, Australia and internationally through the broader Tetra Tech company. The role will involve supporting project delivery for our team and developing new opportunities, managing and directing projects, strategic planning and continuing to foster our client relationships. We will provide you with opportunities to further broaden your expertise while collaborating with industry-leading consultants on projects that make a real difference. From environmental impact assessment to stakeholder engagement and future planning, youll be part of something purposefulwhile building your expertise across diverse, exciting project stages. The type of work we undertake includes the following: Part IV EP Act referrals, EIA assessments and associated management plans. Part V EP Act works approvals and licencing, native vegetation clearing permit applications. EPBC Act referrals and assessments. Environmental offset strategies, calculations and management. Mining Proposals and Mine Closure Planning. PP Act and PGER Act Environmental Plans and Oil Spill Contingency Plans Environmental due diligence, auditing, compliance, and strategic advice. Qualifications What Youll Bring We think you will love this role if youre the type of person who has: A relevant scientific degree in areas such as Environmental Science; Management; Law; and/or Environmental Planning. A minimum of 6+ years industry experience (preferably within WA). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and approvals processes under Commonwealth and State legislation. Demonstrated experience in developing and nurturing mutually beneficial client relationships. Previous experience in the consulting sector with the ability to manage your own projects and Experience in preparing a range of high-quality reports including impact assessments, monitoring and management plans.
