With a well-understood ore body and proven metallurgy, we deliver stable performance, deep regional know-how, and active participation in South Australias mining community.Job DescriptionAbout the RoleReporting to the Surface Maintenance Superintendent, the Maintenance Supervisor leads fixed plant maintenance execution across planned and unplanned work, with a strong focus on MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul). Youll coordinate maintenance week execution, support breakdown response, and ensure work fronts, isolations and permits are controlled to site requirements.This role leads a team of 12-15 and works closely with Processing Operations, Metallurgy, the Maintenance Planner, and the Reliability & Projects Engineer, and supervises contractors to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate fixed plant maintenance crews (1215) and contractors, setting clear shift priorities and coaching performance to deliver safe, high-quality work.Coordinate isolations and permits to ensure compliant work fronts and verify risk controls and work quality through strong field presence.Deliver the weekly maintenance plan and respond to breakdowns, ensuring labour, parts, tools and access requirements are in place before work starts.Plan and execute maintenance swings and shutdown activities, ensuring effective pre-starts and cross-shift handovers (status, hazards, isolations and next steps).Drive reliability and availability improvements by supporting fault finding, root cause investigations and timely corrective actions to reduce downtime.Ensure accurate CMMS/ERP work order completion (labour, parts, failure codes and follow-up actions) to support planning and continuous improvement (PULSE advantageous).Coordinate workshop operations, including resourcing, shift coverage, overtime/leave, housekeeping standards and parts availability through warehouse/purchasing.Build strong working relationships across Processing Operations, Metallurgy, Maintenance Planning and Reliability to support consistent execution and site performance.About you:You must hold a relevant trade qualification (Certificate III in Engineering Fitter & Turner or equivalent) and have demonstrated experience supervising fixed plant maintenance teams, ideally within mining or heavy industrial environments.You will bring strong working knowledge of maintenance planning and CMMS/ERP workflows (with PULSE experience regarded favourably), along with the ability to communicate and coordinate effectively across operations, metallurgy, contractors and suppliers.A current South Australian drivers licence is required.A Diploma of Engineering (Technical), the ability to interpret technical drawings, and ICAM lead investigator capability will be highly regarded.Why Hillgrove?Join a proudly South Australian copper producer at Kanmantoo in the Adelaide Hills, where your leadership directly improves safety, reliability and plant performance.
