After witnessing firsthand the logistics challenges faced by SMBs, the founders evolved the business into a tech-first fulfilment solution.Role Overview / Purpose:As we accelerate our growth, we''re hiring a Transportation Operations Manager to own and evolve the commercial and operational performance of our Transportation network. This is a high-impact role focused on managing elements of the operations, growing revenue, improving partner economics, and driving the commercial roadmap across the first to last-mile, international freight, and carrier partnerships. To succeed in this role, you will be a self starter, data oriented and a highly effective communicator. Initially this role is for an individual contributor with the potential for future growth.Key Responsibilities:Own the commercial performance of Skutopia''s transportation services, with responsibility for gross margin, pricing strategy, and cost optimisationForge and maintain strong relationships with key business partners and stakeholders (carrier relationships), providing the conduit for robust discussions and collaborations to achieve optimal business outcomes and solutionsDrive initiatives to expand Skutopias transportation capabilities, including new carrier integrations and service enhancementsOversee all aspects of Skutopias transportation services, ensuring high performance across fulfillment, the first to last-mile, and logistics operationsEnsure swift and reliable transportation services to meet customer expectations for speed and timeliness while optimising operational efficiencyImplement strategies and processes to maximise cost-effectiveness across all aspects of transportation operations without compromising service qualityAn extremely close pulse on transportation SLAs holding partners accountable and being proactive to customersLeverage deep expertise in freight forwarding to optimise international shipping operations and cross-border logistics and transportation solutionsPossess a strong understanding of the US/CA/EU/UK courier landscape, including rate structures, service levels, and key players in those marketsPartner with the leadership team, operations, tech, and growth teams in particular to design and implement SKUTOPIAs transportation services strategyWe think you will need:Strong experience in logistics, supply chain management, Fulfilment or transportation operations, preferably in both domestic and global solutionsStrong leadership skills with experience managing fulfillment or last-mile transportation servicesProven ability to scale operations and optimise costs in a fast-growth environmentHighly developed analytical skills, with a track record of taking a data-driven approach to decision-making and process improvements.Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, and confidence working with diverse stakeholders.High business acumen and familiarity with structuring commercial dealsExperience in eCommerce, 3PL, retail logistics, or tech-driven supply chain is highly regarded.High motivation and enthusiasm for a fast-paced environment, with multiple ongoing projects.Whats in it for you?Opportunity to work in a dynamic, purpose-driven company shaping the future of logisticsCompetitive salary and benefits packageA supportive and inclusive workplace that values innovation, collaboration, and personal developmentBeing a part of a company that deeply values our culture and our people #J-18808-Ljbffr
