OverviewThis is a Permanent, Full-Time position working 76 hours per fortnight. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.Position Profile: We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our Catering Department as an Assistant Catering Manager. In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating catering services at the Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) ensuring patient, retail and special function food is provided under the safe food handling guidelines. At the RPH, dietary food requirements are provided by: providing patient''s meals, liaising with the hospital dietician on hospital menus, maintaining staff rosters and food budgets, and coordinating training in safe food handling for catering staff. Key duties include, but are not limited to:Manages and coordinates the day to day activities and functions of staff within Catering Services;Monitors compliance with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), Safe Handling and Equipment requirements and takes action as necessary to reduce risk;Assists the Catering Manager to develop and implement strategies to ensure best practice and continuous quality improvement.For more information regarding this position, we encourage you to refer to the Job Description Form (JDF) attached to this advert.Area Profile: The East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) comprises an extensive hospital and health service network that aims to maintain and improve the health and wellbeing of more than 670,000 Western Australians in its catchment area.
