Faculty of Science / Crop and Field Research UnitTwo casual positions, hourly rate $45.55 to $50.14 plus superannuation 12% (HEW Level 3)Based at our Gatton CampusAbout This OpportunityWe are seeking two proactive and motivated farm attendants to assist with the daytoday operations. Reporting to the Senior Trials Coordinator, the Advanced Farm Attendant assists in the daytoday running of the Cropping and Field Research Unit (CFRU) on the Gatton campus, including the set up and maintenance of equipment involved in fodder production, chemical handling, irrigation activities and related record keeping.What Youll DoOperate and maintain farm equipment: set up, operate, and perform routine maintenance on agricultural machinery used in horticulture, field crops, and fodder production.Support farm operations and compliance: assist with the preparation and application of agricultural chemicals, maintain irrigation and operational records, and document daily activities to support endofmonth invoicing.Contribute to teaching and farm support activities: work alongside teaching staff and students to demonstrate farming techniques and practical skills, and undertake additional duties as required by the Farm Manager.About UQs Gatton CampusEstablished over 125 years ago, UQs Gatton Campus has a long history from starting out as a dedicated agricultural institution, to being a field hospital during WWII, and to joining the UQ community in 1990.
