We are currently looking for someone for ongoing visits on different topics. This opportunity is suitable for people who are comfortable with public speaking, topics to be discussed with the site managers and may also tie into events being held at the individual site. Types of activities you could be involved with Amana Living Volunteers work alongside the allied health team. For one-on-one visits you can be involved in activities such as chatting, board games, reading magazines/newspapers, discussing books, simple art and craft, listening to music, watching movies. If you have a hidden talent like chess, knitting or gardening, please let us know. Smiling and laughing are contagious, and you can make a difference in someones life today. If you would like to assist in group activities, these are scheduled at specific times and days and can include bingo, bus trips, pamper sessions, art and craft, cooking, quizzes, walking groups and more. You will be required to create a profile and fill in an application directly through Amana Living (separate from the expression of interest). We are here to support you through the whole process. We have a meeting with you about the roles available, locations, your interests and compliance required. All volunteers receive orientation at site, further training when required, support and access to current information on volunteering and aged care. References are available upon request.
