Overview Were seeking a motivated Botanist to join our environmental consulting team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a balance of fieldwork, data analysis and technical report writing, and is looking to build their experience across a diverse range of botanical projects and bioregions. Youll work alongside experienced botanists and ecologists, contributing to high-quality project delivery while developing your technical skills and understanding of environmental legislation and consulting practices. What Youll Be Doing Supporting the delivery of botanical projects across field, herbarium and office-based tasks Undertaking flora and vegetation surveys, including observing and recording plant populations, vegetation communities and environmental conditions Assisting with the preparation of scientific and technical reports in line with internal and external standards Contributing to research, monitoring programs and client reporting Ensuring all fieldwork and specimen collection complies with licensing, and threatened species legislation Working collaboratively with project leads to meet project timeframes and quality expectations About You A tertiary qualification in Botany, Conservation Biology, Environmental Science or a related discipline 14 years experience in botanical or ecological fieldwork Demonstrated experience conducting botanical surveys Developing experience in scientific and technical report writing Knowledge of the flora of Western Australia (desirable) Understanding of relevant State and Commonwealth environmental legislation A current Class C drivers license (essential); 4WD experience highly regarded Next Steps To apply, please click apply now with your CV summarising your relevant skills and experience.
