You will contribute to the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of the WHS Management Systems and Standards, in support of the companys objectives and targets. This role is also responsible for raising awareness and educating managers, supervisors, and the general workforce to aspire to and maintain compliance with Covalents safety policy, plans, procedures and governing acts and regulation during the construction and commissioning phases of the Project.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Department Superintendents with implementation of the Health and Safety Strategy and ongoing continuous improvement projectsConduct coaching, behavioural based observations, and critical control verifications regularly across site to develop a strong in-field presence for the HSEC teamAid and guide in the investigation of incidents, and any follow up actionsModerate and maintain data for incidents, corrective actions, hazards and auditsAssisting other departments in developing risk assessments, management of change, inspections, and auditing programsLead the Health & Safety Representative program, conducting site inspections, developing toolbox talks and ongoing coaching of our representativesCreating and maintaining plans, procedures, WIs, and guidelines as requiredThe Successful Applicant Will HaveMinimum Diploma level qualification in Occupational Health & SafetyMinimum 3 years mining experience in operational health and safetyWorking knowledge of the WHS Act 2020 and WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022Experience support Critical Risk ManagementLead Investigator qualifications (e.g. ICAM or other)Experience in InControl (INX)Excellent report writing and documentation skillsCurrent Provide First Aid Certificate (desirable)Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)Valid Australian drivers licenseOur team members are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work.
