OverviewNorton Gold Fields is seeking expressions of interest from experienced and safety-focused operators interested in joining our Crushing and Haulage team as a Road Train Operator, with an anticipated start date in late April to early May.This role plays an important part in supporting the overall performance of mining operations by ensuring the safe, efficient and productive operation of road train equipment across the site.RosterRoster: 2:1 - 12 hrs (Dayshift/Nightshift) (Residential or FIFO ex.Perth)ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Haulage Shift Supervisor, the Road Train Operator is responsible for operating equipment safely and efficiently while supporting production targets and maintaining high safety standards. The role works closely with Maintenance, Technical Services and other site support teams to ensure smooth and effective operations.Conducting pre-start checks on equipment prior to operationOperating road train equipment safely and efficiently in line with site proceduresFollowing mine plan instructions to support production targetsParticipating in equipment handovers with supervisors and cross-shift operatorsCompleting post-shift checks, cleaning and refuelling equipmentReporting hazards, incidents or changes in ground conditionsContributing to a safe and productive team environmentMaintaining strong housekeeping standards and operational efficiencyQualificationsA current MC Class Western Australian Drivers LicenceCommercial Vehicle Fatigue Management CertificatePrevious Road Train side tipper and self-loading experienceStrong commitment to safety and safe work practicesGood communication skills and the ability to work within a teamAbility to complete operational paperwork, such as run sheets and timesheetsMechanical aptitude and previous mine site experience (desirable)Why Norton Gold Fields?Norton Gold Fields is one of Australias largest domestic gold producers, with a recent annual production of up to 200,000 ounces.
