About the Role The Student Services Officer role is customer service focused, administrative and clerical. They are one of the first points of contact for students, parents and staff and is responsible for efficient and effective day-to-day coordination of administrative support. This role is to work primarily in the Wellbeing Team and is responsible for the day-to-day support, including administrative duties, of the Psychologists and Social Workers as well as ensuring students and families feel welcome and comfortable when accessing services in the Wellbeing Area. This role will be term time only (approx. 40 weeks per year). Your working hours will be 8.30am to 3.30pm, term time only (0.73 FTE) Key Relationships Members of the Executive and Pastoral Care teams. Teaching and support staff. Students, parents, carers and their families Visitors to the Wellbeing Area School Psychologists and Social Workers Head of Learning Diversity and Inclusion Responsibilities Student Services Maintain student details in Seqta/Synergetic and file student records appropriately. Maintain records of going home arrangements for students and inform appropriate staff. Track students attendance of the Wellbeing Area and report weekly to Wellbeing Team Members during team meeting. Ensure this data is regularly filed in student files. Administration Liaise with parents/students re initial appointments (emailing consent forms etc). Book appointments with the students, including follow up with students who may miss their appointment and liaising with the referrer as required. Coordinate and book appointments with external professionals as required. Coordinate regular meetings for Team Members with Head of Year, Head of School, Deputy Head of School, and Learning Support Staff as required. Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of data. Work with the Student Services Team Leader for guidance and support. Other Support Welcome students, parents, staff and visitors with professionalism. Adherence to office policies and procedures. Implement procedural and policy changes to improve efficiency. Ensure that the work area is clean and neat. Work with a customer service focus. Qualifications and Experience Current Working with Children Check. Current certificate in First Aid is desirable. Knowledge of SEQTA and Synergetic an advantage. A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check current to within 8 weeks prior to commencement of employment at St Marks. Be supportive of the Anglican ethos of the School.
