Transdev WA operates Bus services across Fremantle and RockinghamMandurah (including Perth CBD CAT services)Behind the scenes, our Network Planning Team models and plans services so they''re safe, reliable and efficient.The roleBring your emerging analytical skills to help plan Transdev''s public transport network. Reporting to the Head of Planning, you''ll maintain and review PTA timetables, develop efficient schedules and rosters using advanced software, and use data to drive continuous improvement.What you''ll doMaintain and review Transperth timetables so they balance operational efficiency with customer needs (including school, CAT and university services, and planned service changes).Prepare scheduling solutions (vehicle blocks, shifts and rosters) using tools such as HASTUS/AUSTRICSindustrystandard software for public transport planning and scheduling (training provided)Analyse operational performance data (ontime running, headways, runtimes, dwell times) and implement improvements aligned to PTA''s service reliability focus.Plan for operational scenarios, including train replacement buses during line closures and major works, ensuring robust journey times and interchange plans.Support special event transport (Optus Stadium and city events), working with client stakeholders to scale services where travel is included in the event ticket.Contribute to tenders and new initiatives, including timetable changes associated with fare and ticketing updates (e.g., smart payment/contactless and 2026 "Go Anywhere" flat fare settings).Embed safety and accessibility in plans by considering depot operations, driver welfare and Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport (DSAPT) obligations (boarding, information, allocated spaces).Collaborate across Operations, HR/Workforce Planning and the PTA on timetable submissions, service changes and communications.What we''re looking forExperience in scheduling and rostering principles; HASTUS experience is ideal but experience using other software such as AUSTRICS is applicable.Experience working with data assembling, transforming and analysing to inform decision.Must have - Australian Working Rights (no restrictions)Curiosity about public transport in WA how contracted operators work together to deliver services for the community.Ability to work autonomously and confidentially, with strong problemsolving, stakeholder engagement and clear communication.A proactive mindset you like identifying issues early and driving continuous improvement.Nice to have (but not essential):Knowledge of GTFS/realtime data, AVL/APC feeds, or GIS.Familiarity with rail replacement/event operations, or school service planning.The benefits for youWe won''t pigeonhole you you''ll have scope to play to your strengths and showcase your abilities.Be part of an innovative global public transport business with strong local roots in Perth.Full training provided, plus access to continuing professional development.Flexible work arrangements and a supportive, experienced, and encouraging team.An engaged client and meaningful projects that shape how Perth travels every day.Our values and beliefsAs an equal opportunity employer, we are committed to reflecting the diversity of the communities we serve.
