With 1400 community members leadership and cultural connection are at the heart of its future and Councils 120 employees are committed to respectful, accountable, and outcomesfocused service delivery that honours Country, culture, and people.The PositionThe General Manager Community Services is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic and operational delivery of essential services that sit at the centre of community life in Aurukun. Reporting to the CEO, the role leads a diverse and complex portfolio including childcare, community engagement, events, funeral assistance, the Indigenous Knowledge Centre, library and radio services, community security, and environmental health. As a member of the Executive Team, you will contribute to organisational strategy, governance, budgeting, and performance, while ensuring services are delivered with integrity, cultural respect, and a strong focus on measurable community outcomes.About YouYou are a valuesled, culturally respectful leader with experience delivering community or human services in complex environments, ideally within a First Nations, regional or remote context. You may be an established General Manager or Director, or a highperforming senior manager who is ready to step up into an executive role. You are renowned for strong people leadership, sound judgement, and the ability to build trust across diverse stakeholders.
