Overview Gold Road Personnel are a West Perth based company, specialising in recruitment within the Mining & Resources sector. We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our reputable gold producing mining client''s technical services team. Responsibilities Develop and implement standards and procedures for ground stability, monitoring, control, and mine infrastructure. Champion the underground seismic monitoring system; analyse and communicate collected data and ensure the seismic network advances with mine expansion. Set up and maintain a numerical model of the underground workings to assess budget stope shapes and advise mine engineers on geotechnical concerns. Conduct geotechnical data collection and analysis for ground support and stope design criteria. Conduct Ground Control and QA/QC Ground Support Audits to ensure compliance with Ground Support Standards and scaling plans. Act as the key technical advisor on backfill methodologies, including planning, engineering, and execution. Coordinate annual revisions of the Principal Mine Hazard Management Plan to align with changing ground conditions and industry standards. Promote and train underground crews on the importance of ground support and reading the ground. Qualifications Bachelor of Geotechnical Engineering, Mining Engineering or Science with a Geotechnical specialisation or related equivalent tertiary degree. Proven experience in a senior role within underground mining, with demonstrated expertise in advanced geotechnical and underground mining practices. Advanced knowledge of the statutory requirements of the Western Australian Mining Act and Regulations, and Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act. Ability to evaluate underground mining conditions and environments, previous experience leading technical teams, and effective communication across all levels. Proficient in MS Office Suite, Rocscience software (RS3D, Unwedge, and Dips), IMS Suite, mXrap, Deswik, and similar CAD tools for geotechnical analysis and design. Hold a WA Driver''s Licence (manual C Class). Willing to obtain a National police clearance.
