Join to apply for the Vehicle Mechanic - Defence role at Ventia1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJoin to apply for the Vehicle Mechanic - Defence role at VentiaJob DescriptionJoin Ventia in a role which keeps the Australian Defence Force''s wheels turning!Job DescriptionJoin Ventia in a role which keeps the Australian Defence Force''s wheels turning!A great opportunity for a Vehicle Mechanic to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at the Military Units in the Enoggera Region.As a Vehicle Mechanic, you will conduct routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of heavy military vehicles, including 4WD''s, trucks, tracked and armoured vehicles, infantry personnel carriers and even armoured tanks!Benefits$45.01 an hour plus superWork 38 hours per week Monday to Friday and finish at 12 pm on FridaysTraining & Upskilling providedRelocation assistance for the right candidateWork on unique Defence vehicle and assets17.5% Annual Leave LoadingAll tools, PPE and Uniforms providedOn-site ParkingAbout The RoleConduct Maintenance tasks, including technical inspection and classificationRepair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions and differentials.Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaces partsCarry out minor body repairs and minor trim repairsTest and repair electrical systems such as lighting, ignition and electronic fuel injection.Inspect vehicles and issue road worthiness certificatesAbout YouCert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent levelOpen to Light Vehicle Mechanics with demonstrated Heavy vehicle experienceDemonstrated experience to inspect, repair and maintain Light, Medium and Heavy vehiclesMust possess a current Australian State or Territory class C Driver''s LicenseYou must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security ClearanceAbout VentiaVentia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
