Our client, a well-reputed bakery located in Port Augusta, South Australia is looking for an enthusiastic and skillful baker to join this expanding and innovative business on a full-time basis.You must have proven experience in baking or retail industry as well as minimum formal training and qualifications in the trade. You will be responsible to ensure products reach the consumer at the highest possible standards, and will also be able to demonstrate your creative talents by having the opportunity to be involved in product development. Good communication skills, attention to detail, teamwork and knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations are essential.Your Duties:Prepare dough and pastryKneading and proving of bread doughForming bread and other pastry productsEnsure the correct temperature of the ovenBake bread and cook pastries and other productsPrepare fillings for cakes, pastries, bread, and slices as requiredFill and decorate cakes, pastries, bread, and slices as requiredCo-ordinate of preparation, forming and baking of products according to demandQuality control of productsStock control as requiredEnsure cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen areaEnsure the safety of the kitchenPersonal Requirements:AQF Certificate III including at least two years orAt least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualificationsA high level of personal cleanlinessAble to plan time and work under pressureUnderstand OH&S in a kitchen environmentAble to stay calm in difficult situationsAble to work well in a teamIn return, we will offer great working conditions, flexible hours (subject to business requirements).
