Lead a small afternoon team (10 people) across two neighbouring sites, keeping production running safely, efficiently, and on schedule.I''ve partnered with a longstanding Australian manufacturer specialising in reinforced steel products - a business that values loyalty, teamwork, and internal growth. They''re now looking for an Afternoon Shift Supervisor to take charge of daily operations on the floor.You''ll lead from the front making sure machines are running smoothly, safety standards are met, and your team works as one. You''ll coordinate workflow, support your operators, and troubleshoot problems before they become stoppages. With your background in reinforced steel or heavy manufacturing, you''ll know the process, understand the pressure, and take pride in keeping things moving.Supervise afternoon shift operations across production, bundling, staging, and loadingLead and support a team of operators and loaders (under 10)Ensure all safety standards and PPE compliance are metMonitor machine performance and coordinate maintenance where neededManage coil loading, scheduling, and shift handoversConduct safety walkthroughs and address hazards promptlyOversee housekeeping, stock checks, and production efficiencyTroubleshoot issues and elevate where necessaryCandidate ProfileYou''ve worked your way up from the floor maybe as a machine operator or team leader in a reinforced steel or manufacturing environment and now you''re ready to lead your own shift. You understand the process, the people, and the pace.
