Brisbane Economic Development Agency (BEDA) plays a pivotal role in shaping this growth - promoting the region globally, driving tourism and securing major events that elevate Brisbane onto the world stage.BEDA is looking for a Corporate Communications and Media Partner to support the Tourism and Events team on a 13-month contract and help tell BEDA''s story in powerful, compelling ways.Why This Role Will Attract YouWork at the intersection of tourism, sport, entertainment, and major events, using your communications expertise to showcase a region undergoing unprecedented growth;Drive high-impact storytelling through earned media and content to support BEDA''s work in driving visitation to the region through tourism and the attraction of major events; andJoin a highly collaborative team where agility, stakeholder management, attention to detail and handson involvement are celebrated - and where your ideas directly translate into real, citywide impact.About the RoleReporting into the Head of Corporate Communication, you will partner with BEDA''s Tourism and Events team to design and deliver integrated corporate communications that support the city''s ambitions.Your duties will include, but not be limited toDevelop content, media materials and corporate communication that amplifies Brisbane''s tourism, events, and industry initiatives;Lead PR and communications plans across event announcements, industry programs and stakeholder engagement;Create highquality content including media releases, speeches, social posts, briefing notes, EDMs, content plans and campaign reports. Experience in capturing and editing video content highly regarded;Identify and secure proactive media opportunities that elevate the city''s profile;Manage media requests, stakeholder communications and relationships with agency partners;Support strategy and daytoday management of BEDA''s corporate social channels and website content;Build trusted relationships with internal teams, industry leaders and government partners; andBring fresh, creative thinking and a proactive mindset to a fastpaced environment where attention to detail matters.What you will bringA bachelor''s degree in communications, Journalism and / or Business;Experience working in fastpaced media industries such as tourism, sport or agency highly regarded;Proven experience developing and successfully implementing communications plans and media liaison;Exceptional interpersonal skills with confidence to seek new connection; andExcellent writing and storytelling skills creating content across a range of channels for use by senior leaders.Why BEDAAt BEDA, people are their greatest asset, and they are fiercely committed to making the organisation an exceptional place to work.
