Located in the vibrant suburb of Nerang, QLD, our caf is known for its exceptional coffee and fresh, seasonal menu.As a Chef at Stellarossa Nerang, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring the highest quality and presentation. You will work closely with the owners to develop new menu items and maintain the quality of our current offerings. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing inventory and ordering supplies, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience as a Chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will have a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards, and be able to work efficiently under pressure. You will also have a creative flair and a passion for experimenting with new flavors and techniques.Key responsibilities:Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specificationsWork closely with the Head Chef and Manager to develop new menu itemsEnsure the highest quality and presentation of all dishesManage inventory and order supplies as neededMaintain a clean and organized kitchenFollow food safety and hygiene standards at all timesTrain and supervise junior kitchen staffCollaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure a smooth serviceRequirements:Previous 1 year experience as a Chef in a fast-paced kitchen environmentStrong understanding of food safety and hygiene standardsAbility to work efficiently under pressureCreative flair and passion for experimenting with new flavors and techniquesExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAvailability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidaysCertificate IV in Commercial Cookery/Kitchen Management or above is (preferred)In return, we offer a competitive salary, a supportive and positive work environment, and opportunities for career growth and development.
