This handson role is all about logistics and operational supportordering, stocking, and credit card use/balancing of accounts, managing inventoryensuring our classrooms and workshops are equipped and ready to deliver topquality training. Working under general direction, you''ll ensure the safe and efficient movement and storage of tools, equipment and materials, and help maintain an organised, compliant, and accessible workspace.Permanent Fulltime position.ResponsibilitiesOrder supplies and tools for the Automotive training programsReceive and unpack goods, stock items in designated storage locationsKeep inventory accurate, uptodate, and accessible for trainers and studentsAssist with maintaining workshop equipment, PPE equipment and keeping learning spaces clean and safeWork collaboratively with teachers to ensure classrooms are wellprepared and stockedAssist teachers reset automotive faults in simulated automotive practical training equipmentOrder any fuel required to run equipment/vehiclesUnderstand and maintain current SOP (Standard operating procedures) for safetyMAYBE required to be a First Aid Officer or a Fire WardenWhat You Will BringExperience required in the automotive industry and it is desirable to have welding/engineering experienceGreat organisational skillsyou know where everything goes and how to keep it that wayConfidence using ordering systems, MS Office Suite/Excel spreadsheet, tracking inventory, and managing stockAbility to lift and move equipment safely and follow WHS protocolsGood communication skills and a teamoriented attitude and ability to build and maintain great working relationships with suppliersA proactive, reliable approachyou see what needs to be done and do it!Qualifications & RequirementsPrevious experience working within the automotive industry.Applicants with a trade qualification in Mechanical or Engineering/Welding will be highly regarded.Current Driver''s LicenseDesirable Forklift LicenseA current Working with Vulnerable People registration is required, or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.Supporting a Diverse WorkforceAt TasTAFE, we encourage applications from the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, people living with a disability, people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, mature age workers and members of the LGBTIQA+ community.
