Learn more at surgeons.org.Download Full Position DescriptionAbout the roleYou will lead the development and delivery of education and training courses for surgeons and those on the surgical training pathway. You will oversee a national program of skills-based courses, ensuring they are well planned, delivered to a high standard and regularly reviewed to meet the needs of RACS members.In this role, you will manage a large, multidisciplinary team and provide strategic input to senior leaders on course planning, budgets and future opportunities. The role also includes providing high-level support to several committees and working groups, helping them with both strategic and operational planning. This is a handson leadership role that suits someone who enjoys working across education delivery, people management, stakeholder engagement and governance.The successful person can be based out of one of our Australian offices.About the teamYou will lead the Skills Training team within the Pathways to Fellowship portfolio. The team includes program coordinators, nurse coordinators and operations staff who work closely with surgeons, educators and volunteers across Australia and New Zealand.The team is responsible for delivering nationally recognised skills courses and providing secretariat support to a number of established committees. Collaboration is central to how the team works, with strong connections across RACS and with external partners, specialty societies and international colleges.About youYou are an experienced people leader who is comfortable managing complex programs in a professional, memberbased or educationfocused environment.
