The school, with roughly 620 students from Prep to Year 6, offers modern facilities and a holistic educational environment. The current campus has been in place since 1995 and supports the growth of the community.About The RoleThe School Learning Officer maximises educational outcomes for students by providing assistance to teachers in meeting learning goals. This may involve supporting teachers in small group or 1:1 scenarios.ResponsibilitiesAssist in evaluating and assessing the learning needs of students under direction of classroom teachers.Work with students following lesson plans provided by the class teacher.Provide physical assistance to students where appropriate.Participate in planning days with team teachers to discuss student needs.Support students with social and emotional needs, including supervising a student when temporarily removed from the classroom.Adhere to classroom rules, expectations, incentive schemes and behaviour management plans as directed.Assist with inclass support programmes as directed.Report regularly to the classroom teacher on student progress .Assist with group work in Literacy block time when appropriate for the year level.Keep accurate records of student work sessions.Supervise students with concerns referred by teaching staff for resolution, as required.Work RequirementsHold a Working with Children Blue Card.Fully support the ethos of Catholic education.What We OfferAnnual leave with 17.5% leave loading.Salary packaging options.12.75% employer superannuation contributions.Access to longservice leave after seven years of continuous service. 14 weeks'' paid parental leave.
