Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay range$43.83/hr - $43.83/hrProvide assertive mental health care in the community, conducting biopsychosocial assessments and providing brief mental health interventions.Mental Health Nurse or Psychologist or Occupational Therapist or Social WorkerHPA Level 2 (Commensurate with experience) + Salary packaging benefits (pay less tax)Monday Sunday shift work roster, with additional loading.Full-time permanent role in Western SydneyHeadspace Early Psychosis, run by Uniting, provides early intervention and support for young people (aged 12-25) who are at risk of developing a first episode of psychosis, or those who are currently experiencing a first episode. Your role as a clinician in the Mobile Assessment Treatment Team (MATT) will involve providing assertive mental health care in the community, including conducting biopsychosocial assessments and providing brief mental health interventions.This is a role that operates on a flexible shift-work roster. Additional pay loading is offered for evening (15% loading), and weekend (50% loading) shifts.This role requires you to travel between different headspace location ( Mount Druitt, Penrith & Parramatta) including community and home visits.MATT is a stable, fast-paced multi-disciplinary team, meaning great opportunity to work closely with other professional backgrounds (social workers, nurses, psychologists and doctors) and being exposed to different mental health presentations.Clinicians will be required to participate in on-call approximately 3-4 times a year, with additional remuneration.Role OverviewThe overall aims of clinical care within MATT service will include:Assertive care in the community, conducting assessments, general mental health support, guidance and directionThe early detection of those young people who are experiencing, or are at risk of early psychosis or a first episode of psychosis by means of thorough assessment and consultationIntervene early and effectively with young people at risk of a first episode of psychosis to prevent the onset of psychotic illnessEssential Criteria:Approved tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline and eligibility for membership of AHPRA or the appropriate professional bodyDemonstrated experience in the mental health sector with community health experience or understandingExperience working with patients in an acute mental health settingExperience with initiating and documenting mental health and bio-psycho-social assessments, understanding of short term psychosocial treatment for young people experiencing mental health difficultiesKnowledge and understanding of early psychosis and first episode psychosis rationale and principlesAbility to maintain the philosophy, standards, guidelines, policies and protocols of the EPPIC modelCurrent Australian Drivers LicenceTo Apply, click theApply button& attach your Resume and Cover Letter addressing the Position criteria.Benefits & CultureAs an organisation we celebrate our diversity and welcome all people regardless of ethnicity, faith, sexual orientation and gender identity.
