Pipemakers Australia is a leading manufacturer and supplier of PVC and PE piping to the construction, mining and building industries.An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified Maintenance/Shift Electrician to join our team in Acacia Ridge, QLD.In this role you will be responsible for the plastic extrusion machinery and equipment, ensuring it is operating safely and efficiently as well as maintaining it in a cost-effective way, taking into considerations cost and production schedules.The position is a rotating 12-hour shift roster, 4 days on 4 days off (2 day shifts followed by 2 night shifts).Key duties and responsibilities:Maintain, repair and install electrical infrastructure for PVC Extrusion equipment.Resolution of issues in a timely mannerMinimisation of ongoing breakdownsAbility to work in a team environment and willingness to help other trades personsBe Punctual and prepared to work overtime when requiredSkills and experience:Trade qualified Current Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic LicenceMinimum 2-3 years electrical trade experience in an industrial environmentInstrumentation and or PLC experienceIdeally exposure to the PVC and PE Pipe industry but not essentialOutstanding attention to detail and high-quality workmanshipForklift & EWP tickets an advantage but not essentialMust have current CPR and switchboard rescue competencyStrong analytical and problemsolving skillsStrong communication skillswithin acollaborative team working environmentEnsuring adherence to company EH&S polies and proceduresThis is a fantastic opportunity with an attractive remuneration package which is negotiable based on your qualifications and experience.
