The role will also coordinate marketing activities within our Transport Sector, covering Roads & Highways, Rail & arquivo, Ports & Maritime, and Aviation. The incumbent will assist in overseeing utilisation of all human and other resources in providing SMEC services across the Transport Sectors.ResponsibilitiesSupports the transport leadership in providing strategic and operational direction.Assists the transport leadership in managing and achieving effective utilisation of all human and other resources.Supports the transport leadership team in coordinating and prioritising national support services to State Transport Sector teams.Provides transitional expertise, clientservice support, reporting and business development activities.Qualifications15+ years of industry experience, recognised as an authority in the transport infrastructure design market.Experience in Manager/Team Lead roles within engineering consulting organisations.Ability to manage multidisciplinary projects to budget and client specifications.Capability to build trusting and productive client and stakeholder relationships.Experience in clientfacing or business development functions for multisector pursuits.Changeready mindset encouraging crosspollination across regions, businesses, and sectors.Experience producing major tender/proposal documents of an excellent standard and in a timelymanner.Strong teammanagement skills with a focus on performance and cohesion.Recognition as a local authority in the transport industry.Seniority levelDirectorEmployment typeFulltimeJob functionManagement and ManufacturingEEO StatementSMEC Australia recognises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the traditional custodians of the land in which we live and work Australia.
