This role is key in ensuring warehousing, forklift, inventory management and replenishment activities are carried out to Ridley''s high standards, while helping optimise our operations in a collaborative and people-focused way.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys leading others (2 direct reports), improving processes, and contributing to a positive team culture. This role suits someone with the need for a set shift roster, working 2pm to 10pm Monday to Friday, with afternoon shift allowance payable.Key ResponsibilitiesPartnering with internal and external stakeholders to assess operational needs and provide thoughtful recommendationsSupporting the delivery of daily, weekly and monthly warehousing requirements to meet team and business goalsCoaching, guiding and developing team members to help them succeed in their rolesHelping foster a safe, respectful and inclusive working environment by modelling Ridley values and supporting consistent standardsEnsuring accuracy in warehouse transfers, documentation and logistics processesIdentifying and resolving inventory or distribution issues in a practical and solutions-focused mannerWorking closely with Quality Control to address quality issues and follow procedures that protect product integrityUsing sound judgement to respond to emergencies, environmental risks and other unexpected situationsSkills and ExperienceWe''re looking for someone who brings a mix of technical capability and people-centred leadership, including:Competence in Microsoft Office and general computer literacyDemonstrated experience in warehousing or storeperson leadershipMinimum 1 year double deep reach forklift experienceMinimum 3 years of forklift operating experience in a fast-paced warehouseStrong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levelsHigh attention to detail and a commitment to safe, high-quality workA supportive and inclusive leadership style, with the ability to motivate and empower othersAdaptability and composure in a fast-paced, evolving environmentPrior learning in safety, quality, first aid or improved arrangements would be desirableProficiency in WMS/ERP systems (e.g., D365) advantageousHow to ApplyIf you''re a proactive and detail-oriented individual looking to support a dynamic warehousing environment, we''d love to hear from you.Ridley is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from individuals of all backgrounds.There are big advantages that come with Ridley being Australia''s largest and leading animal nutrition company.
