Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre Audio Visual Systems EngineerWe are seeking a highly skilled Audio-Visual Systems engineer to support the Senior Manager Audio Visual in maintaining the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of all Audio Visual (AV) systems and infrastructure owned by VCET. This role is responsible for the proactive repair, maintenance, and lifecycle management of AV technology to ensure operational readiness across the Nyaal Banyul venue.Set to open in 2026 on the Geelong Waterfront, Nyaal Banyul will be Australia''s newest convention and event centre. Operated by the Victorian Convention and Event Trust (VCET), this premier venue features a 1,000seat theatre and 3,700 square metres of versatile event space, ready to host everything from community gatherings to major conferences and entertainment events.Located in a vibrant city known for its rich history, stunning waterfront, and thriving arts scene, Nyaal Banyul is a place where everyone is invited to share stories, connect, and celebrate special moments.About the RoleMaintain all event related equipment across the Nyaal Banyul venue.Develop and maintain all documentation covering the use and servicing of equipment for event delivery, including any SDS documentation required.Comply with all relevant WHS requirements, as well as ensuring that all equipment documentation produced by the team provides technical staff with the information required to use and operate the equipment safely.Contribute to the development and implementation of systems projects for the installation of new and upgraded systems to support technology services for event delivery.Provide advice to planners and customers in optimal selection of equipment for event delivery requirements.Ensure expenditure on repair and maintenance is managed within budget.Build and maintain strong relationships with external equipment and service providers.Assist the Senior Manager Audio Visual with pricing changes for equipmentbased technology services in conjunction with Sales and Planning.
