If you wish to be considered for a specific advertised vacancy at Mackay Hospital and Health Service, please submit your application for the relevant vacancy via the Smart Jobs website and follow the process outlined for that vacancy.Your OpportunityDeliver routine cardiac/neurology/respiratory clinical measurement services within the Clinical Measurements Unit in accordance with contemporary clinical practice standards.Develop skills to perform these services independently and undertake more complex roles in the provision of cardiac/neurology/respiratory clinical measurements services across two or more modalities as a multispecialist practitioner.About The TeamThe Clinical Measurement Unit at Mackay Base Hospital performs a range of clinical investigations including cardiac, respiratory and neurological diagnostic services. Staff are a resource for education and training and provide information to all levels and disciplines of hospital staff, students, and external agencies. Requests are accepted directly from medical officers for all inpatients and outpatients of the Mackay Base Hospital, from other regional hospitals and private external medical practitioners. The unit operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with afterhours oncall services required as part of a rostered service cover.About Our Hospital and Health ServiceMackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multipurpose health services and 4 community health centres, employing more than 3,700 staff.
