Beyond finding defects, you''ll help identify recurring issues, improve processes and practices, and champion qualityfocused ways of working that enhance both product reliability and team efficiency.What Your DaytoDay Will Look LikeChampion quality practices and principles within your squad, keeping zerodefect delivery at the forefront of how the team works.Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Managers and fellow QAAs from the earliest stages of analysis and planning to ensure functional and nonfunctional requirements are clearly captured.Design, write and execute structured test plans, test cases and other QA activities across the development lifecycle.Validate that changes meet acceptance criteria and user needs through thoughtful manual testing, exploratory testing and regression checks.Identify opportunities to automate manual test efforts and help design, implement and maintain effective test automation solutions using appropriate tools.Monitor, measure and report on team quality metrics, using insights to drive continuous improvement in both product and process.Contribute to the development and refinement of team and departmentwide quality standards, patterns and best practices.Ensure strong requirements traceability throughout the lifecycle so that every change is tested and verified against its intended outcomes.Share your product and quality expertise with the team, helping lift capability through coaching, knowledge sharing and feedback.Keep up to date with emerging QA trends, tools and techniques, and bring ideas back to the team to enhance how we build and release software.What You''ll Be Able to Bring to the Role2+ years'' experience in quality engineering, quality assistance, quality assurance, or a similar software testing roleAnalytical mindset, with the ability to question assumptions and uncover edge cases and gaps in requirementsUnderstanding of quality practices and principles, with a passion for driving towards zerodefect deliveryExperience creating, executing and documenting test plans and other QA activities across the software development lifecycleAbility to contribute to both functional and nonfunctional testing, using a mix of manual and automated approachesFamiliarity with test automation concepts and tools, and an interest in identifying and automating suitable manual test effortsStrong communication skills (written and verbal), able to clearly articulate quality risks, issues and recommendations to technical and nontechnical stakeholdersWelldeveloped planning and organisational skills, able to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environmentCuriosity and a growth mindset, staying up to date with QA trends, tools and techniques and sharing knowledge with the teamCollaborative approach, enjoying working closely with engineers, product managers and other QAAs to continuously improve processes and quality outcomesSalary Banding: $110,000 - $130,000 + SuperOur Ways of WorkingAt Jumbo, we value balance and flexibility.
