We are a Global Organization with subsidiaries in over 100 countries around the world, we manufacture in over 400 factories with over 33,000 employees & an expanding team across Australia.Job DescriptionPerform routine and complex laboratory tests on a wide range of finished, semifinished and raw material samples, according to product specifications.Test and investigate product quality related complaints, working with R&D Chemists, Sales and Customer service teams.Carry out product applications in a controlled lab environment, ensuring compliance with PDS and relevant industry standards.Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in a safe manner (i.e. Compression/Tensile testing machines, Titrators, Pull off testers, etc.).Prepare / provide uptodate test results and reports, as required by QC and R&D stakeholders.Maintain accurate and organized records of all laboratory activities.Ensure all testing activities are conducted in a safe and professional manner in compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental requirements.Ensure maintenance of housekeeping standards in the QC laboratory environment.Handle and dispose of various hazardous materials safely and responsibly.Carry out other duties as directed by the National QC Lead, on occasions.QualificationsMinimum B.Sc. in Chemistry or Engineering with at least 3 years'' experience in an industrial environment.Knowledge of quality control processes and procedures in accordance with quality management systems.Proficiency in using and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments.Experience in managing laboratory functions and operations.Strong communication, teamwork, and computer skills (MS Office and ERP software).Ability to handle heavy material movement in a safe manner.Additional InformationAs a market leader, Sika Australia understands and recognizes the contribution employees make to the success of our business.
