Our teams are built on strong organisational culture, with open communication channels and accessible leadership.Your new roleReporting directly to the Principal Traffic and Design Coordinator, the position provides expert guidance, coordination and leadership in the area of Traffic and Transport engineering to promote the safe, efficient and effective management of the various transport modes and associated infrastructures within the Town.What you''ll need to succeedProvide sound technical advice on traffic related matters affecting the Town and its road users.Manage both internal and external stakeholders on transport related issues.Provision of detailed planning and design for traffic and road safety related projects.High level of analytical, programming, scheduling and monitoring skills including extensive experience in the use of MS Project or similar programs.High level understanding and proficiency in using traffic simulation and modelling software e.g. Sidra.Significant knowledge in the preparation of Grant applications and acquittal processing for programs including Blackspot, Perth Bicycle network and Other Federal/State applications.Detailed knowledge and interpretation of relevant legislation, standards and codes, in particular Road Traffic Code 2000.Represent the Town on major developments impacting existing road infrastructure.Comprehensive reporting and advice to Council on road safety outcomes.Review traffic impact assessments from external agencies and private developers.Manage traffic data collection program.Assist in parking management reviews as required.The benefits of working for usSalary range of $94,038 - $107,550 per annum.Up to 17% Council superannuation contribution.Five weeks annual leave.Worklife balance including flexible working arrangements, easy access to public transport and our famous Albany Hwy caf strip.Job share opportunities may be considered.Free use of gym and aquatic facilities (conditions apply).Ongoing training and development.Exciting changecreating projects!For further information on this position and how to apply please visit our website www.victoriapark.wa.gov.au.All applications must include a cover letter and accompanied by your CV.The Town of Victoria Park is committed to equal employment opportunities and providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.We welcome applicants from a diverse range of backgrounds.
