Our team of expert researchers lead key internationally competitive cuttingedge research from molecules to medicines, from patient to policy across a range of therapeutic areas.The School of Medical Sciences is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Neuroimmunology and Chronic Pain, who will apply and develop their expertise to conduct research to further develop treatment for devastating chronic pain conditions. They will contribute to research efforts independently and as part of a neuroimmunology research team based at the Brain and Mind Centre.Your key responsibilities will be to:independently, and as part of a research team, conduct research and scholarly work that contributes to a competitively funded research program in neuroimmunology and chronic painundertake recruitment of chronic pain patients for clinical research studiesundertake wet laboratory research to identify mechanisms and potential treatments of chronic pain using immunology-based technical approaches that include highparameter cytometry, highplex imaging and data analysissupervise PhD and Honours students within the research groupdevelop and refine independent research skills under the supervision of more senior academic staffcarry out administrative tasks and contribute to the operations of the wider research programcontribute to a positive workplace culture in which diversity of thought, contribution, collaboration, excellence and achieving outcomes are valued and enabled.About youdoctorate of PhD in immunology or neuroscience, or another relevant fielda developing network of academic, industry and professional partners and stakeholdersa developing research profile in discipline or area of expertisedemonstrated understanding of the subjectmatter within the discipline of neuroimmunologyexperience conducting original research and/or engaging in scholarly activity, and demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a busy environmentability to effectively communicate.Sponsorship / work rights for AustraliaWork Rights: you must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to apply.
