Join to apply for the Revenue Accounting Analyst role at TelstraAs a Revenue Accounting Analyst you play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Telstra''s financial reporting, to enable effective decision-making by wider business and finance stakeholders through delivering timely and insightful analysis.You will leverage your critical and analytical thinking capabilities to reimagine existing accounting and assurance processes; challenge the status quo to innovate and utilise tools that improve our operational efficiency.You will act as a business partner to collaborate with our internal and external business, IT and finance stakeholders to improve transparency and uplift self-serve capabilities.Key responsibilitiesMonthly accounting and assurance reporting and analysis: completion of P&L and Balance Sheet assurance activities including producing timely, relevant and accurate reporting and analysis to proactively manage financials; balance sheet reconciliations and open item management, with a focus to insights into actionsProcess Management and Continuous Improvement: support streamlining of accounting and assurance processes through innovation and leverage tools to improve efficiency and effectivenessStrategic / Operational initiatives: support various strategic and operational initiatives (e.g. reconciliation uplift and Blackline automation)Stakeholder Collaboration: partner with various stakeholders including offshore partners, finance and IT to ensure alignment and provide financial/accounting support for projects and ongoing financial managementCompliance and Governance: support audit and governance related activities. Ensure that all accounting practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies, maintaining strong internal controls and governanceTake accountability for assigned work tasks, working independently and collaborating with internal stakeholders as requiredLeverage your analytical skills to undertake high quality quantitative and qualitative analysis, building your subject matter expertise through active thought leadership, to provide insights into key decisionsModel a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement and learning to support team members within and external to the groupAbout youTo be successful in the role, you''ll bring skills and experience in:Collaborating and business partnering with stakeholdersIn-depth technical accounting experience, including knowledge of accounting principles and practicesExperience in financial systems and IT tools/processes to optimise data analysis, transformation and reportingKnowledge of controls, QA and governance frameworksCritical and analytical thinkingProblem solving and decision-making skillsAbility to gather data, analyse information and translate analysis into actions and decisionsBusiness acumenHold Degree in AccountingHold or working towards CA/CPA qualificationOther informationWe fully embrace flexibility and choice at Telstra, and it is as unique as you.
