Cook CasualLocation: Inverell, NSW Pay: $32.90 per hourWe are seeking an experienced and qualified Cook to join our team at ''Killean''. Situated in the fertile agricultural region of the NSW Northern Tablelands, the McLean Care Residential Care facility is a 138-bed home located in picturesque Inverell, the "Sapphire City".Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, prepare and cook nutritious meals, ensuring all dietary needs are metMaintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, including food storage and safe handlingBuild positive, collaborative working relationships with staffMonitor inventory and order supplies as requiredAssist with seasonal menu planningAbout YouYou will have at least 2 years'' experience in a similar role.Essential RequirementsCertificate III or IV in Commercial CookeryProven experience in a similar environmentStrong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standardsGood communication skills and a team-focused approachAbility to work effectively and efficiently under pressureTwo recent managerial refereesPolice Clearance (provided free of charge)Compassionate, patient and positive attitudeAdvantageousSafe Food Handling Training covers safe preparation, storage and service of food, including hygiene and cross-contamination preventionChemical Handling Certificate covers safe use, storage and disposal of cleaning and sanitising chemicals, PPE requirements, and understanding Safety Data SheetsPrevious experience in aged care or healthcare environmentsAbout McLean CareMcLean Care is a respected provider of high-quality community, retirement and aged care services.
