Our Northern division operates five beef processing plants across Queensland and Northern NSW, producing more than 400,000 tonnes of beef products every year.Located in Ipswich in South East Queensland, the JBS Dinmore Plant is the largest beef processing facility in the southern hemisphere. The plant employs approximately 2,300 team members with a processing capacity of 3,400 head of cattle per day.About the RoleJBS Dinmore has an opportunity for an experienced Industrial Engineer to join the team in this newly created position. As our Industrial Engineer, you will focus on how to get work completed in the most efficient way, balancing many factors including time, number of workers needed, throughput and efficiency, available technology, actions required, and achieving a quality product with minimal rework, whilst ensuring workers'' safety.The successful candidate will find ways to eliminate wastefulness in production processes to achieve targets set in production/processing roles, lead continuous improvement initiatives and devise ways to be more efficientYour key responsibilities will include:Analysing the current operating plan to determine opportunities for process improvement, workflow and cost reductionsDeveloping solutions to operational issues to reach desired cost reduction and quality improvementsDeveloping, installing and maintaining cost effective methods of manufacturingCollaborating with Business AnalystsDeveloping work measurements to optimize operationsConducting cost-to-produce analysis for new products and ROI for new projectsParticipating in initial phases of new production lines to assist in design for cost effective manufacturingAssisting with project managementWorking with operations and engineering teams to identify production bottlenecksLeading continuous improvements and operational excellence teams in a high-volume manufacturing environmentReducing waste, rework and cycle timesCollaborating with the engineering team to determine overall equipment effectiveness and associated improvement strategiesProvide training to management for implementation of new procedures, processes, services and technologyManaging labour cost strategies across the Dinmore siteAssisting in financial planning and cost analysisKeeping abreast of industry technologyAbout YouBachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalentDemonstrated industrial engineering experience (ideally 5+ years) or equivalent industry experienceExcellent oral and written communication skillsAdvanced MS Office skillsExperience with Process Improvement Programs including PDCA, Six Sigma, Lean, RCA, SMED, KaizenAbility to respond calmly in difficult situations whilst maintaining a strong customer service focusExceptional ability to prioritise and multi-taskExcellent attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environmentTakes other''s perspective''s into considerationMakes self fully available as requiredWhy work for JBS Australia?Competitive remuneration + annual incentive bonusAccess to heavily discounted JBS meat productsRetail discounts with national partnersHealth insurance discounts with Bupa and Medibank PrivateOngoing leadership and career development opportunitiesInterested?
