This role can be offered as a full-time Port Hedland based role or FIFO from Perth month on, month off (0.5 FTE). Find out what it is like to work for RFDS in Western Australia from some of our employees by selecting this link here.Who Are We Looking For?To be successful in this role you should have experience in the following relevant areas:Aeromedical retrievalTelemedicineIndigenous healthEssential Criteria:Registration, or the ability to register, with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) as a Medical PractitionerA minimum of five years of postgraduate experienceSignificant experience in emergency medicine, anaesthesia, and acute paediatricsAble to independently manage critically ill and injured patients, including procedural skills relevant to critical care medicineExcellent communication and teamworkAvailable for a minimum of 12 monthsAustralian resident or have completed your studies in the UK, Ireland, United States, Canada and New ZealandDesirable Criteria:ACEM/ANZCA/CICM/FACRRM or FRACGP or equivalent, or experienced career medical officersObstetric experienceExperience in pre-hospital or retrieval medicineExperience in regional or remote medical practiceBenefitsPermanent, full-time or part-time role (0.5 FTE FIFO - two weeks on, two weeks off or month on, month off)Salary packaging - up to $15,900 per annum for everyday expenses and up to $2,650 per annum on meals and entertainment expensesFully subsidised housing and utilitiesFully maintained vehicle providedNovated Lease optionsComprehensive orientation programUp to eight weeks leaveProfessional development allowance and study leave provisionsSponsorship opportunitiesAbout UsThe RFDS provides aeromedical retrieval services and primary health care across the largest health jurisdiction in the world, assisting more than 20,000 patients each year.
