Job Description

Rizzani de Eccher is looking for an experienced Cost Controller to join our on-site team.In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring costs, controlling financial flows, preparing reports, and supporting the broader project team and headquarters with accurate financial data to ensure targets are met and/or corrective actions are implemented.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Project Manager to set up the budget and cash flow targets, and support the Project team with Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development and maintenanceWith support from Engineers, track actual construction costs against actual quantities, and compare them against budgeted costs, using data to forecast cost-to-completionCompare actual vs. planned progress and highlight deviations or risks to the Project Manager / Contract Coordinator, providing early warning to management about cost deviations and support the development of recovery or improvement strategiesMonitor, control and forecast project cash flow and costs, including cost statements for expense centers compared with budgets, highlighting any variancesDefine, implement, and update project cost reports in compliance with client and corporate standards, including management and update of project control software (e.g. Matrix) to ensure accurate reporting, including monthly analysis and reports on expenditures, work progress, expenditure commitments, budget and schedule performanceManage incoming and outgoing payments, coordinating with the dedicated Administrative Assistant / Clerk (who will be reporting to you directly)Develop and maintain cost databases, benchmarks, and indices to support budget preparation and performance analysisSupport annual budget preparation and monthly analytical accounting processes, in coordination with the headquarter Financial Management team and the local accountant firmsQualifications & SkillsDegree in Economics, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent)Minimum 5 years'' experience in cost control, project controls, or financial management (construction or infrastructure experience preferred)Excellent analytical skills and attention to detailsStrong reporting and forecasting abilities, with proficiency in cost control systems, project control software, and MS Office Suite (Excel in particular)Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teamsWhat We OfferThe opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure project in AdelaideA collaborative and supportive team environment also based in AdelaideCareer development opportunities within a global construction groupAdditional InformationSeniority level: AssociateEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Accounting/AuditingIndustries: Civil Engineering and ConstructionReady to make a difference?
