Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Switchboard Manufacturing division in Brisbane, Queensland.The OpportunityAs Project Manager Switchboards, you will take ownership of multiple manufacturing projects from concept to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of industries, collaborating with clients, engineers, and production teams to deliver quality electrical infrastructure solutions.You will have both technical and commercial control of projects, from detailed engineering and procurement to factory build oversight, contracts administration, and financial management.ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & DeliveryManage multiple projects through the full engineering cycle.Oversee and review detailed electrical engineering designs for switchboards, kiosks, switchrooms, and distribution boards.Prepare and maintain project schedules, ensuring critical milestones are met.Monitor and track progress, proactively resolving delays or issues.Technical & Quality OversightLiaise closely with the production team to ensure products are manufactured to specification and quality standards.Provide technical input during design and manufacturing stages.Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards and client specifications.Procurement & Resource ManagementSource equipment and materials using a best productbest price approach.Manage supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery of goods.Contracts & Financial ManagementOversee contracts administration and manage variations.Control budgets, monitor project costs, and conduct accurate financial forecasting.Report regularly to management on project status and profitability.Client & Stakeholder ManagementMaintain strong, professional relationships with clients, consultants, and suppliers.Represent the business in project meetings, site visits, and technical discussions.Provide clear and timely communication throughout the project lifecycle.About YouTo succeed in this role, you will have:Proven project management experience within the switchboard, electrical manufacturing, or related engineering sector.Strong understanding of electrical switchboard design, manufacturing, and installation processes.Knowledge of Australian Standards relevant to electrical switchboards.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing clients and internal teams.Strong commercial acumen and experience managing project budgets.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Desirable Qualifications & SkillsDegree or trade qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.PMP or PRINCE2 certification (advantageous).Experience with ERP or project management software.Previous exposure to industries such as water, mining, industrial, or commercial projects.How to ApplySounds like you?
