The business combines deep engineering expertise with a customercentric approach. You''ll join a collaborative team where sales and engineering work sidebyside to deliver highquality solutions.The RoleThe Electrical Sales Engineer owns the technical integrity, feasibility and margin of all customer solutions. You''ll interpret drawings and specifications, prepare BOMs and costings, and liaise with engineering and operations to deliver compliant, buildable proposals. This role supports account development by ensuring every quote aligns with customer requirements and company profitability targets. This is the ideal role for a electrical engineer looking to get off of the tools, and work in a more client-focused, customer facing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical assessment and costing for customer opportunities in the LV switchgear/distribution segmentInterpret singleline diagrams, schematics and customer specifications to recommend compliant designsCreate and review BOMs, sketches and cost estimates for custom or modified assembliesCollaborate with Engineering and Operations to confirm build feasibility and delivery timelinesContribute technical content and cost detail to formal tender submissions alongside the account teamTrack quotetoactual cost variance; recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and marginSupport development of quoting templates and standards for recurring workEngage with customerside engineers and technical buyers to clarify solution details and resolve issuesIdeal Profile & ExperienceElectrician trade qualification or Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)Handson experience in technical estimation, panel design or applications engineeringConfidence interpreting customer drawings, specs and AS/NZS standardsStrong commercial acumen with a focus on margin preservationExcellent communicatorable to liaise with internal teams and external technical contactsIf you are interested in the role, or would like to know more, hit ''Apply now''.
