We are committed to innovation, environmental stewardship, and delivering high-performance infrastructure that supports communities and ecosystems.The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly experienced Operations & Maintenance Engineer to lead the operational management and technical development of our water treatment and desalination projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of our facilities.This pivotal role will oversee Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities across multiple contracts in the region, ensuring optimal performance and long-term sustainability of our facilities. The successful candidate will also play a key role in supporting the development of future tenders and expanding our presence in the area.Key responsibilities include driving operational excellence, maintaining compliance with safety and environmental standards, and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of all managed assets.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day O&M activities across water treatment and desalination assetsDevelop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance strategiesMonitor plant performance and optimise operational efficiencyLead technical investigations and implement solutions for process improvementEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standardsSupport tender processes and transition projects into deliveryPrepare technical reports and engage with internal and external stakeholdersMentor junior engineers and contribute to team developmentRequired Skills and CompetenciesDegree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering disciplineExtensive experience in process design and operational management of water treatment and desalination projectsProven leadership in supporting tenders and transitioning into project deliveryExcellent communication skills, with proficiency in technical report writing and stakeholder engagementAbility to work independently and collaboratively in dynamic project environmentsWillingness to travel interstate and internationally as requiredSpanish language skills are advantageousWhy ACCIONA Agua?Be part of a global leader in sustainable infrastructureWork on impactful projects that protect and enhance water resourcesEnjoy a collaborative and inclusive work cultureCompetitive salary, benefits, and career development opportunitiesACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 certification in Australia, which certifies the company''s commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
