The ideal candidate will possess experience in construction law, with a particular focus on project advice, contract negotiation and drafting. Experience with infrastructure agreements would be a bonus.Key Responsibilities:Provide project advice to developer clients and large asset ownersPrepare consultancy agreements, project term sheets, letters of intent, early works agreements, ECI and EPC contracts, tender contract documentation, and ancillary agreementsPrepare, review, and negotiate civil and building construction contracts for commercial, retail, industrial and institutional property development, as well as civil and mining works and infrastructureAdvise contractors and subcontractors on tender submissions and construction contract negotiationsAdvise clients on infrastructure planning, funding and agreements, ensuring alignment with planning legislationAssist our litigation team in tribunals involving issues such as security and retention, variation and contract payment claims and defectsAbout You:The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience, and attributes:2-5 years'' experience in a similar roleExcellent knowledge and understanding of construction obligations supporting major development projectsExpertise in drafting and negotiating various construction and infrastructure agreementsOutstanding attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work consistentlyExcellent client service orientation with a desire to build strong client relationshipsEffective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsJoin a property team that consistently achieves market recognition including rankings in Doyle''s Guide and Best Lawyers Australia and a finalist as the Property Team of the Year in the Australian Law Awards for 2024''5-star'' Employer of Choice by HRD and Australasian Lawyer and 2024 Beaton Client Choice Award winners for ''best law & related services firm'' ($30m - $100m revenue)Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and wellbeing initiativesWellness facilities and onsite classes (i.e. yoga and mindfulness)Competitive salary and parental leave policyOther benefits: purchased leave program (pre-tax), novated leasing, corporate medical insurance plans, networking, breakfast provided daily in our team caf, social events and much more!About Cooper Grace Ward:Cooper Grace Ward is a leading independent law firm based in Brisbane.
